Recognise Palestine

This Campaign is now complete!

Thank you for taking the time to participate in this campaign.

We can declare a SUCCESS!

The South Australian State Government's lower house, the House of Assembly, wrote itself into the history books on 22 June 2017, becoming the first Australian house of parliament to recommend to the Commonwealth government the recognition of the State of Palestine. When the vote was taken after considerable deliberation, the packed Strangers’ Gallery broke into hearty applause.

Thank you!

Thank you to the hundreds of members, friends and supporters in South Australia who gave two minutes of your time for Palestine and emailed, called or contacted your local State Member of Parliament to encourage them to support the Motion.

Your action ensured that our political leaders are hearing the concerns of their constituents.

Your action has seen South Australia get on the right side of history.

A recent public opinion poll has shown that "the Australian public is way out in front of the major parties on the issue of Palestine."

Your support for this campaign has ensured a strong, independent, Australian voice – your voice – is working towards peace and justice for the Palestinian people.

Thank you,
