"The Australian public is way out in front of the major parties on the issue of Palestine."

With your help the South Australian Lower House made history on 22 June 2017 in calling for the recognition of Palestine.

We need your help again to get the South Australian Upper House over the line in passing the same resolution.

This campaign is asking all South Australians to urge their representatives in the South Australian Legislative Council to support an upcoming Motion calling on the Federal Government to recognise the State of Palestine.

The South Australian Legislative Council (Upper House) will debate this Motion on 2 August 2017.

In a recent Roy Morgan opinion poll73% of Australians said that they wanted Palestine recognised as a State.

And in South Australia, the poll recorded that 74.3% of South Australians said that they wanted Palestine recognised as a State.

Two former Australian Prime Ministers - Bob Hawke and Kevin Rudd - have said that it's time to recognise the State of Palestine.

And two former Australian Foreign Ministers - Gareth Evans and Bob Carr - have also said that it's time to recognise the State of Palestine.

Tell your MLCs in South Australia, "let's get on the right side of history."

Your support ensures that a strong, independent, Australian voice – your voice – is working towards peace and justice for the Palestinian people.

Thank you.
